Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility is a key consideration for all of us at CHÉ management and we are passionate about it. Balancing profit with planet and taking a more conscious stance on how we can all be more responsible for our actions is a well received development in the business community.
As the North’s leading provider of teambuilding and corporate events we always consider our client’s own CSR policies and how we can integrate and adhere to them in the events they take part in.
Not only do we have our own internal policy that dictates how we run our business in a socially responsible way but we also have an emerging portfolio of teambuilding events that are CSR based.
We do not just talk about CSR to be trendy we live it every day in the way we lead our work and home lives and how we deliver events for you.
CSR ON CHÉ TEAM BUILDING EVENTS
CHÉ are always researching new CSR event ideas to bring into the world of teambuilding. This is still a relatively new concept to integrate within events but we are delighted that each month that goes by we are finding new ideas and suppliers to bring to you. Please see examples in our Event ideas section of our web site.
It is also important to us that we try and integrate our own passion and policies for CSR within the events that we deliver.
- Charities: Each year we host events that support various charities particularly those that support humanity and are environmentally sensitive. We also run events for charities and make huge reductions in fees including giving our time for free on fees to enable them to deliver their own programmes
- Transport: We always encourage our clients to travel to our events using as few vehicles as possible.
- Waste and recycling: Wherever possible we use biodegradable items such as special clay pigeons, recycled products including paper/cardboard & packaging and ensure that we always try and adhere to our own in-house CSR policies when considering what to include in the event.
- Event prizes and awards: Instead of the usual medal or glass plaque why not use your prize money to give your colleagues something they can really be proud of winning. Our own personal favourite is a prize from World Action. These can include seeds, mosquito nest, goats or equipment to supply fresh water.
CSR IN THE CHÉ OFFICE
We have drawn up a list of CSR policies that we aspire to live by each day in the office. The list grows by the day and we are committed to making sure that at every opportunity we stick by them. These include:
- Sending electronic brochures to clients to save paper and card.
- Switching on only those electronic aids in our office that we really need at the time such as printers, PCs and fax machines.
- Reducing waste in the office
- All of our stationary is printed on recycled paper or card
- All office memos are sent electronically
- We charge our mobiles and laptops with a solar power charger.
- Switching off unnecessary lights
